Paneled Wedding Gowns — Live Life Queen Size!

Paneled wedding gowns are dresses that have sections of a different fabric or color sewed into panels in the gown. One of the examples of these gowns is Miss Mary Donaldson's bridal gown made of white duchess satin. In this, the panels flow 10 cm below the waist and are stitched to make the old lace visible. The lace is about 100 years old. The old lace matches perfectly with the pearly white color of the satin. This particular paneled wedding gown has the veil made of Irish lace that was used by Queen Ingrid's mother Princess Margaret of Sweden at the time of her wedding in 1905. Later, Queen Ingrid wore it for her wedding held at Stockholm Cathedral in 1935. Only a part of this veil, the lace, was put on the wedding gown of Queen Anne-Marie, who got married in 1964 in Athens.

By using panels in wedding gowns, it is possible to have a dress that is part new, and part antique. It is very unique to have a bridal dress that has a little part of history in it that you will continue to add on to.

Different panels can also create a grander dress as well. Patterns can be taken from pre-civil war era dresses, and with the right fabric, turned into beautiful and elegant wedding dresses.
