Award Winning Dresses — Renaissance Theme Excels at ‘Bride 2004’

Lana Nahawi, a 26-year-old Palestinian student of the Dubai International Institute, has won the coveted Young Designer Award for her award winning dresses at a ceremony marking the finale of Bride 2004. Lana's design, featuring a gorgeous wedding dress really stood out because it was superbly executed and was an excellent reflection of this year's 'Renaissance' theme. The award winning dress was a contemporary wedding gown in cream silk with red leather straps and detail.

In the annual exhibition for the discerning bride-to-be and wedding day organizers of Bride 2004, judges from various sectors of fashion industry judged the dress and gown entries against five different criteria. All agreed that the standard of gowns was extremely high, but it was Lana, the winning designer who earned the coveted award.

It wasn't just the honor of winning the award that the students were competing for. Lana and others won trophies made up of Swarovski crystal components and have earned internships with leading UAE fashion houses organized for them.
